Four Seasons 2

Four seasons is my favourite theme.
These PS designs are from The Gift of Stitching #25, Feb 2008.
I just finished these last week and made them into ornaments.

Four Seasons 1

Designs are from Trail Creek Farm freebie. I made them into bookmarks, but they can also be used as scissors fobs. I attached them one by one to my purse to show them off … And of course I got lots of comments.

Apple Girl

Designed by P. Buckley Moss. When I saw this project from a gallery long time ago, I wanted to do it. That time, I didn’t know much about the designer, and only later learned that she is very famous and her designs are in the collections of almost all cross stitchers. I searched on the Internet, and got into eBay bidding to get Buckley’s patterns. This project is my first piece of Buckley’s . I finished this in Dec, 2001.

Simply Sunflowers

Designed by Paula Vaughan. I finished this in Jan/2003.
I had a chance to go to Hong Kong in 2004 to visit my sister, who just moved from England to Hong Kong.
I took this project with me to give to her family.

Carrot Cake

I got this recipe very long time ago from co-worker, and I bake it every so often.

Carrot Cake

4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp salt

2 cups shredded carrots
1 cup chopped walnuts

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, oil and sugar until smooth. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt, and sift a few times.Add dry mixture to wet mixture and beat well, stirring in carrots and walnuts. Pour into a greased bundt pan, bake at 350 degrees (F), for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the centre come out clean. Cool cake upside-down on a wire rack, and remove pan.
