Designs are from EMS Sal, flower of the month. Carnations are for January, Violets are for February and Sweet Peas for April. I made them into needle cases with the initial “S” on the back sides.

United in Love

Wedding verse “And the Two shall be called One”, Matt 19:5, designed by Pam McKee. I stitched this five times, for wedding gifts, but I have only two pictures. Top picture is for my niece's wedding gift and bottom picture is for my friend's son who married in 2004.

Pray without Ceasing

Baby Pink (819, 818, 776 & 3326)

Designed by Heart Steps, I stitched this twice, but changed colours. One for baby blue in 2003 and one for baby pink in 2005. I also changed the hair to dark brown, as usual. They both turned out pretty good. I like them both. Both were given away as gifts, blue for my friend, and pink for the Reverend of my church.

Beneath the Cross of Jesus

“Beneath the cross of Jesus, I fain would take try my stand. The shadow of a mighty rock withen a weary Land. A home withen a wildness a rest upon the way from the running of the noon-tide heat and the burdens of the day”

Design is from Stoney Creek Collection, Book #194, Songs of Heaven. I stitched this for a church member in Jul/2002. Too bad that I don’t have a good picture of this lovely piece.

The Old Rugged Cross

Design is from “America’s Best Loved Hymns Collection Two” designed by Barbara Baatz. I’m a Christian from my grandmother, so I stitch a lot of Religious themes. This peace I stitched for myself in 2001.

Plum

Design is from “Peaches & Plums”, Color chart # 204, designed by Maria Winkler. I stitched this in July/04.All the background is half stitch with 2 strands, but I've done it in full stitch with 1 strand instead.
I don't enjoy half stitching at all.....

More Christmas Ornaments

Prairie Schooler Santa, Christmas Eve Deer and Noel from Prairie Schooler.
