Clarinet

This is my 2nd time stitching “Clarinet”. Dec/2000, I started two Clarinets at the same time and I finished one for use as a gift. I ran out of the silver colour metallic thread, so I left the 2nd Clarinet in a closet for a long time and forgot all about it….. I found this unfinished project early this year, when my son started framing projects for me. I wasn’t aware that I had a “UFO” as I always start new projects only after I finish the previous one. I’m glad that I was able to finish the 2nd Clarinet, as I don’t have a good picture of the 1st one. Frame size is 13.25" x 19.75".

Old Memories of Knitting and Crochet

I knitted a Cat bag in 1975, design is from an old magazine.

I crocheted a black cardigan about 20 years ago.

This lovely crochet blanket I stitched in 1972, for my first baby boy. It’s still in good condition.

White sweater, I don’t remember when I completed, was a design from an old Vogue Knit magazine.

Green and White afghan, I made 4 of these afghans for a Church bazaar mid-1980 and I kept one for myself.

Bless Our Home

Designed by Ursula Michael. I stitched four of these (Lee, Son, Choi and Kim) as Christmas and Millennium gifts. “Lee” for my parents, “Son” for my sister’s family, “Kim” for a special request from a friend and “Choi” for a church member. Some projects I stitched two or more, because I really enjoy seeing them finished with different frames and mattes, for comparison.

The Lord's Prayer

I stitched two different “The Lord’s Prayer” from different designs.

The second one was designed by Praying Hands Collection. I stitched this in ‘98 for myself, but ended up giving it away to my older brother.

Antique Floral 1 & 2

Designs are from Leisure Arts old magazine. I stitched these in June/2000 for myself. They look like four projects because of reflection in my batheroom mirror. I think it's neat. I like the effect.

The Last Supper

I stitched three Last Suppers.
They are all different patterns, with different designs.

The third Last Supper I stitched was in 2002, design is from The Leisure Art leaflet #2768, and I gave it to my sister.

The second Last Supper I stitched was Omnibook Collection, designed by Jeanette Crews. I stitched this in 1996 to replace the one I gave my parents, but my younger brother wanted it, so I gave it to him

The first one I stitched was designed from Stoney Creek Collection. I stitched this in 1991 and made orininally for myself, but when my parents visited to Canada from Korea, my father liked it, so I brought it back home next time I visited Korea.

The Bride

I stitched The Bride by Lavender & Lace four times
with some colour changes.

This is the first one I stitched in 1996 for my daughter.

This is the second one I stitched in July/2003.
I stitched this on black aida with some colour changes,
yellow flowers and green leaves.
It turned out so pretty. I was so pleased.

The third time I stitched The Bride was in Jan/2004,
with purple flowers in mirror direction.
I stitched this one for my niece’s wedding gift.

The fourth one is a pink version I stitched in Sep/2004.
It hasn’t been framed yet.
It is just sitting in my closet.
It will be for one of my three nieces,
which means I still have to stitch two more,
but my eyes are not getting better.

My first cross stitch project

The House Blessing Sampler

This is my first Cross Stitch project. I stitched this kit from the Heart, disigned by Nancy Miller, in 1989 and gave it to my friend as a Christmas gift. When I visited her after she moved to her new house, I noticed that she had not hung this picture. She explained that it did not match with her new home,
so I took back the old piece and replaced it with a new piece.

I had the old piece reframed in Apr, 2004, and kept it for myself
