Name Tag for Scissors Fob

                                                                    Remade in 2023

I made a scissors fob for my cross stitch scissors in 2002.  The reverse side of the fob bothered me whenever I used the scissors.

So, I decided to remake that part with a more comfortable finish. After 20 years of use, I finally re-stitched the outline with a little touch, a mini heart at the corner. It turned out much better than before, and now I have to buy new scissors for it…lol

Life is a Stitch

I initially planned to make these into masks, but I changed my mind.

I made one as a pouch instead as I had made three masks already with quaker designs.

The other one I just stitched all space of fabric, but I don’t have any idea what to make with it.

I'm back

It has been a long time since my last posting on Aug/2021. I have completed many small projects during this time, some of which were pincushions, pouches, needle books, etc. I will post each project one by one. The first one is an Alphabet design from the Brookbanks free pattern. I stitched F, S, X and Y and made them into ornaments

I also found two more(B & P) that I did in 2010. One day I hope to complete all 26 letters in the alphabet.  They are so cute and pretty. I love them so much.

Quaker Mask

I stitched a special mask for myself to wear during the pandemic while I'm out and about. I combined  different motifs into the design and I think it turned out so beautiful . I am very happy  with results.

Happy Canada Day!!

To celebrate Canada Day, I stitched little pillows and stayed within the red and white theme of our Canadian flag.  These small pillows can be used as pin cushions, can be added to wreaths, and anything else creative that you can think of.  Happy Canada Day!

Door Hanger for my granddaughter

I stitched this lovely project in Jan/20 and finished it as a door hanger for my granddaughter. It’s another EMS’s free garden alphabet pattern. I really love these patterns and made lots of projects,  like a door hanger for “Open” , “Close” for friends to use for their businesses and “bathrooms”(I don’t remember who I gave it to) and one big project “Bless our Home”, hanging in my room.

Needle Book

I started this one in 2015 for my granddaughter. That time I planned to make a toy book, but somehow it’s been left as UFO for years. She doesn’t need a toy book anymore. I finished this as a needle book( I think she's too young for it though), so I’ll hold it until she turns into a teenager?. The design is a free pattern from EMS(Ellen Mauper-Stroh).

I still exist!!

Seasons Greetings

It has been a very long time since I last posted. So, I'm trying to catch up. I completed a lovely project in mid-2018 for Christmas and framed it in Feb. 2019.  The project design is from The Prairie Schooler.

Apple, Pear and Pomogranate

These are very old designs from freebie. They’ve been sitting in a box for a very long time. I didn’t plan to do anything with these small finished projects, but it turned out so great after framing.  I’m so pleased. I still have lots of small projects which have to be framed. Size: 12" X 24.5"

Collection of Smalls

These small items were made from 2005 to 2010. There are pincushions, pin keeps, needle books, door hangers and needle rolls etc. I didn’t count them but there must be around 150-200 and I have more decorating my bedroom curtain.

Bless Our Home_11th frame

Design is from an EMS (Ellen Maurer-Stroh design), garden alphabet free design. I set the words “Bless Our Home” and added some butterflies, bees and lady bugs to the design, here and there. I enjoyed it when I was stitching (2005) and it is so pretty and colorful. I stitched “HOPE” (and made it into a bag), and two sets of “OPEN”, “CLOSED” (and made them into door hangers) for friends who have businesses/ stores. Special thanks to EMS design.

Lotte

Lotte, dog girl, is a famous character from an Estonian cartoon, designed by Mari-Liis Lille. I used black colour instead of brown colour and knit dress. It turned out good.
