I'm back

It has been a long time since my last posting on Aug/2021. I have completed many small projects during this time, some of which were pincushions, pouches, needle books, etc. I will post each project one by one. The first one is an Alphabet design from the Brookbanks free pattern. I stitched F, S, X and Y and made them into ornaments

I also found two more(B & P) that I did in 2010. One day I hope to complete all 26 letters in the alphabet.  They are so cute and pretty. I love them so much.

Noel 6

updated on Dec 6

I saw a Christmas stocking ornament package, 12-pack, from a dollar store. They are cute, and look nice as a finishing touch. I stitched Noel with a small motif on vinal aida and attached them onto the ornaments. I’m going to pin them on a string to hang on a door or window, or on a frame…..several thoughts in my mind.

11th Wreath

I stitched "Joy", “NOEL”, "Love" and "Fa la la" on green aida and have made them into a wreath. Yes, it’s my 11th wreath, and I already gave it away. It’s very colourful and pretty.

Home Decoration

My brother lives in Acton, Ontario, one hour distance from Toronto.
When I visited them last time, my sister-in-law mentioned that she wanted something to hang on the front door of her house, but she didn’t have any ideas.
She and I tried to hang a wreath but the space between door and screen door wasn’t enough.
This week, I looked around to see what I have.
I used an angel frame, which I bought from a garage sale last year during my trip to the East Coast, and four seasons I stitched earlier this year, but I only used three of the seasons and not winter, due to colours not complementing each other somehow.
Well, the arrangement wasn’t easy at all, and I changed it several times before I finished…
I think the final arrangement is good enough….. I hope she likes it.

Her Flower Garden SAL 2

6 parts of Sal from A Box of Chocolate is now completed.
I stitched 3 blocks, Fuchsia, Sunflower and Daisy this week.
I arranged them on a wreath, my 10th wreath, but it doesn’t look good somehow, due to all the variety of colours on each of the blocks.
It’s not easy to arrange them all together.
Maybe I’ll split them into two groups and make them into something else.

My Collections 4

Ornaments Collection

I made so many ornaments so far. I hung them on door knobs everywhere in my home, which looked a little messy.I wanted to put them all together nicely.
I tried putting them on my curtain, which looks okay to me, but my son said it looks messy.Well, I don’t know what else I can do. I’ll just leave it for awhile.

Her Flower Garden SAL

This six blocks SAL from “A Box of Chocolate” began in December 15/2009, but I just discovered it this month. So far, three blocks are out. They are Rose for December, Orchid for January and Lavender for February. I stitched all three blocks individually, and made them into ornaments.
My friend suggested I make a story book for little children, and I think it’s a very good idea, but I don’t’ have any grandchildren yet. I’ll wait for the next three blocks and stitch them all at the same time.
