Bless Our Home_11th frame

Design is from an EMS (Ellen Maurer-Stroh design), garden alphabet free design. I set the words “Bless Our Home” and added some butterflies, bees and lady bugs to the design, here and there. I enjoyed it when I was stitching (2005) and it is so pretty and colorful. I stitched “HOPE” (and made it into a bag), and two sets of “OPEN”, “CLOSED” (and made them into door hangers) for friends who have businesses/ stores. Special thanks to EMS design.

Blue Willow China_10th frame

Designed by Angela Pullen(Author), Forget Me Not #2405, Pamphlet 1996. I stitched this project in 2006. It would been double mats, light blue for point and dark red for main color. But my son cut the mats one inch short by mistake. There wasn’t enough red mat to replace, so we decided to add a third mat with a dark brown color (close to dmc floss #3031) and it turned out better than the first choice.

It looks more antique, and I really love this result.

This is from  the “Prairie Schooler, #123”. I stitched in 2006, and changed the USA flag to CDN flag on Summer pattern as I’m Canadian. This frame job wasn’t easy, as four projects are in one frame.I hung this frame in my bedroom, just above the headboard.

My son's new hobby: Framing

I have lots of completed cross stitch projects, but have not framed them for a long time. They have been just sitting in the closet, some are from 2002…..

My son bought lots of old pictures and frames from auction. He started framing in February and so far he finished 11 frames. He did a very good job and the frames turned out so great. I’m so pleased with these frames.

Now I’m posting three frames: Strawberries, Onions and Chocolate. These designs are from an old LA leaflet “Kitchen Stitchen”. I Stitched these project in 2004. I gave the “Onions” to my brother’s family.
