My first biscornu in 2004

My first biscornu in 2004

When I saw a biscornu from a gallery (I don’t quite remember which gallery), it was attractive to me. What a neat idea. So I was just looking at that picture and thinking for a few days. Ok, I’ll stitch first and then figure it out. So, I stitched one square design, and cut the same size of fabric and used a pin to make a shape. And I made it myself without any instructions. I was so proud. When I showed it to my daughter, she just took it

I made another one in 2004 for my friend. I love blue & white and so does she.

Hands of Faith

This is the third piece I stitched, in 2005.
Designed by Teme Lee Steinmeyer.
I gave them to my brother, sister and the third one was a special request from a church member.

The Bride

I stitched The Bride by Lavender & Lace four times
with some colour changes.

This is the first one I stitched in 1996 for my daughter.

This is the second one I stitched in July/2003.
I stitched this on black aida with some colour changes,
yellow flowers and green leaves.
It turned out so pretty. I was so pleased.

The third time I stitched The Bride was in Jan/2004,
with purple flowers in mirror direction.
I stitched this one for my niece’s wedding gift.

The fourth one is a pink version I stitched in Sep/2004.
It hasn’t been framed yet.
It is just sitting in my closet.
It will be for one of my three nieces,
which means I still have to stitch two more,
but my eyes are not getting better.

Two Pouches

Designs are from a needlepoint book that I borrowed from the library. I stitched these in 2003 and have made them into pouches for home decoration.

My first cross stitch project

The House Blessing Sampler

This is my first Cross Stitch project. I stitched this kit from the Heart, disigned by Nancy Miller, in 1989 and gave it to my friend as a Christmas gift. When I visited her after she moved to her new house, I noticed that she had not hung this picture. She explained that it did not match with her new home,
so I took back the old piece and replaced it with a new piece.

I had the old piece reframed in Apr, 2004, and kept it for myself

Welcome Friends

Welcome to my blog. I have been stitching since 1989. I am early retired. I like all kinds of crafts, such as cross stitch, knitting, crochet, etc... I like to change the colours from the patterns. I stitched The Wedding twice, The Bride four times and The Holly Hobbies eight times with some colour changes. I hope you enjoy your visit.

This design is from The Welcome for all Seasons, by Mill Hill. I only used DMC floss instead of MH Beads and MH Treasures, and I also changed the USA flag to Korean flag.
First I was going to change it to the Canadian flag, but I changed my mind. I am so pleased with the result. I finished this on Sep 2/2006.
