I used 28 count evenweave stitch in every hole, which is very hard for my eyes to finish them. I made them into a scissors fob, so tiny and cute.
Left one was stitched on 18 count aida in 2002. It's 4.5 cm square and right one is 3.8 cm square

This is a quilt I finished in early September, and was
previously posted. I added a couple of falling leaves in the empty space
at the bottom of each side of the vase. I used light yellow and light brown colours, fall colours, and I think it looks
better now.
This is a beautiful cross stitch project. I cut each of the blocks and finished as a quilt. It took one month for cross stitching, and another two months for quilting the blocks. I pinned the finished quilt on my bedroom curtain, where it looks nice. I’ve been thinking of other projects for combining cross stitching and quilting. I have some other finished stitch pieces I can make into something, such as a pillow, a cushion, a lap quilt, etc.
This is an another one of Hetty Gruener’s UFOs. I fixed two small applique spots which were missing. I used wool batting and a beautiful green floral print fabric for backing. I started on June 6 and completed on September 4, taking three months to hand quilt. I’m so glad that I completed another one of her UFOs into a finished project. It can be used as a wall hanger or a cozy blanket.
This is my 4th time stitching this piece, which was designed by Teme Lee Steinmeyer. This time I chose different mat colours than before, and it turned out so classic. I love it.It’s a special gift for the 4th Reverend for my church.
I got some UFOs from a quilt club member at the Community Centre. These UFOs are from her friend’s mother, Hetty Gruener, who passed away a couple years ago.
Her works (hand stitch, sewing, joining each blocks, EPP…)
are so neat and beautifully done.
I used some of her pieces to finish as two bags, a quilt on the back of my
jacket.
They turned out so good, and I’m so glad that I completed some of her UFOs into
finished projects.
