Quaker Mask

I stitched a special mask for myself to wear during the pandemic while I'm out and about. I combined  different motifs into the design and I think it turned out so beautiful . I am very happy  with results.

Happy Canada Day!!

To celebrate Canada Day, I stitched little pillows and stayed within the red and white theme of our Canadian flag.  These small pillows can be used as pin cushions, can be added to wreaths, and anything else creative that you can think of.  Happy Canada Day!

Hand Sewing

I made some sewing accessories, scissor cases(one big one & 2 minis), coin pouches, rotary cutter and a little cat for door hanger.

Masks

I made about 30 masks for family members in April to protect them from COVID-19.  Some of them are made with pocketed filters. All are hand-sewn from different fabrics. I even made kid sized masks for my granddaughter.  These masks are reusable and washable.

Door Hanger for my granddaughter

I stitched this lovely project in Jan/20 and finished it as a door hanger for my granddaughter. It’s another EMS’s free garden alphabet pattern. I really love these patterns and made lots of projects,  like a door hanger for “Open” , “Close” for friends to use for their businesses and “bathrooms”(I don’t remember who I gave it to) and one big project “Bless our Home”, hanging in my room.

Needle Book

I started this one in 2015 for my granddaughter. That time I planned to make a toy book, but somehow it’s been left as UFO for years. She doesn’t need a toy book anymore. I finished this as a needle book( I think she's too young for it though), so I’ll hold it until she turns into a teenager?. The design is a free pattern from EMS(Ellen Mauper-Stroh).

Seasons Greetings

     

It has been a very long time since I last posted. So, I'm trying to catch up. I completed a lovely project in mid-2018 for Christmas and framed it in Feb. 2019.  The project design is from The Prairie Schooler.

Elsa & Anna

I stitched Elsa and Anna, for my 4 years old granddaughter, who loves Elsa. My son just framed it for me. It's my first project of 2019. It's a free pattern from http://www.ideeapuntocroce.it/

Special Quilt for my granddaughter

I got the quilt back from Korea and I’m going to give to my 4 years old granddaughter as a Christmas gift. It’s beautiful….. I hope she likes it. Special thanks to Jade.

Six Birds

I stitched these six birds and made them into cushions a very long time ago. I wanted to stitch them again, so I did so in June. I’m sending them to my quilt friend in Korea, to have them made into a bed runner or a wall hanger.  I haven’t decide which, yet.

Initials PH

I stitched the initials “PH” for my son, who has framed all my projects which were sitting in a closet for 10 to 15 years…. He has done about 46 frames so far and there are a few more left to be done. Original pattern is Monogrammes Entrelaces “P et E”, designed by A Mon Ami Pierre, I changed the “E” to “H”. My dearest friend Yoon-Hye from Korea helped me change it. I love how it turned out.

Peaceful Retreat

This lovely "Peaceful Retreat" project is designed by Barbara L Peterson of Something in Common. I stitched two of them in May of this year.

My son framed them for me. I'm going to use these as a gift.

Four Seasons

I stitched these in 2003. Designed by Anne Van Wagner Young, from Leasure Art book#174. It has two sets of cross stitch pattern and one set of needle roll pattern.  This is a second set of the four seasons and I just have framed.

Coffee Sampler 2

Freebie from the Stitch Alley, I stitched this sampler in 2004 and just have it framed. It's a metal frame, little heavy. Frame size if 17.5" x 17.5 ".

Hooray!

I completed the last 4 pieces of Holly Hobbie. Since last December, I stitched 16 Holly Hobbies with all different colour conversion. Now I’m going to send them to Korea to have them made into a quilt as wall hanging or bed spread. And all I have to do in the meantime is wait.

Special Project 3

Here are four more Holly Hobbies completed. So far I have done 12 Holly Hobbies. Just four more to do. They are so beautiful..... to be continued.

Special Project 2

Four more Holly Hobbies are completed. Two were done as mirror images. I’m going to stitch eight of the original pattern and eight of the mirror images. So far I have done half of the project. I’m going to slow down as I’m getting a little tired.  To be continued …

Special Project 1

I’m working on a special project for my granddaughter, who is 3 and a half years old. Last year in December, I started to stitch “Holly Hobbie” with all different colours. I planned 12 pieces when I started, but now I’m going to make 16 pieces. It’s fun to stitch with my own colour conversion work. Here are first four pieces done. I contacted my friend in Korea, who will make a quilt of these for me. Special thanks to Jade.

Butterfly Garden 1 & 4

I stitched this project in 2006. Designed by Mike Vickery. It's my son's 40th frame job done. Frame size is 26.5"x 17.5".

Old North Bridge

 I stitched this project in 2003. Designed by Jean Lanning from Art Venture. It’s 39^th frame job done by my son. Size is 21.5” x 17.5”.
